Brazoria County located on the Gulf was created in 1832 out of the lands of Austin County.  In this volume you have a short history of southwest Texas and then the biographical sketches of the citizens of Brazoria County written in 1893 by the Goodspeed Company.  In these sketches, the person in the sketch is usually supplies the information to the writer.  They would know best the events of their lives.
