Description
Golden Peacock Purse workshop, kit of blue purse with gold and silver goldwork workshop designed by Janet Mitchell Fishel taught at the EGA Seminar 1986Gorgeous finished blue moiré purse with gold, silver, and blue peacock pattern on front flap.
This is an unusual and very interesting design that would be truly show-stopping when complete.
It has been started with a little bit of each section already stitched very nicely,
just enough of each section to get the idea of how to stitch it.
I estimate less than 10% of this is stitched.
There are directions for making the purse and this listing includes the basic purse already constructed out of blue moiré fabric with a lining, soffits, and a pocket inside.
It's difficult to take photos of the purse but I have tried to make it clear how nicely it has been finished.
Stitches include laid threads couched with white silk and gold filament, Smyrna cross stitch, chain stitch, fan stitch, fishbone stitch, combination of Gobelin-satin-cross-tent to duplicate look of moiré purse fabric, and Rhodes stitch.
I have labeled this as Advanced Intermediate because the directions are short and sweet with diagrams but not much verbiage.
However, the previous owner did start each section which helps tremendously because you can see how the stitching is done in each section.
