    Illustrations include a picture of Carrollton sketched by Howe in 1846, and a view of the public square in Carrollton, circa 1887.
    Among the many and diverse topics covered
    in the booklet are: the Sandy and Beaver Canal, the founding of Carrollton by Peter Bohort, other early settlers, Gen. B. F. Potts, later governor of Montana, William Campbell, who was executed for his part in a daring railroad raid in Georgia during the Civil War, a family reunion during Morgan's Raid, Gen.
