Reynolds; the book "Partisan Leader" by Judge Beverly Tucker prophesying the secession movement and set in Patrick County; the War Between the States; Slavery; Henry County, including Martinsville (by Smith); the Henry County Bar; Scenery in Patrick county; Famous court cases; Churches; Patriotic Societies, Business Women's club; Public Schools; Names of soldiers in the Revolution; Ridgeway; Early Days in Winston-Salem; and a section called "Our Faithful Colored People".
