    Description

    This CD contains seven books altogether.  The first one is the biographical sketches of those Rangers who served from 1830-1846.  The next six are actually six volume of the biographical and service records of the Rangers who served from 1847-1900.  These six are broken down in alphabetical groups as for example Volume 1 is A-C and then Volume 2 is D-G, etc.  Each of the volumes contain index of surnames with the set of six volumes, the index is for those not found in the alphabetical listing.

    "FARRIS, NEWTON, Pvt. - Commanding Officer:  YOUNT, Andrew J., Capt., Orgainzation:  Ranger Company, Enlisted Nov. 26, 1866 at Denton, Texas R&F 1871 - Company Organization in conformity to instructions from Gov. Throckmorton, found on one muster roll."
