    Description

    Auction for vintage USAF Personnel Records Folder to SSgt Anthony J. Ross from the end of WW2 through the 1980's as both military and government civilian employee. Ross also served in WWII.
    1. Blue USAF Personnel Records folder to SSgt Anthony J Ross. Folder contains 50 plus documents pertaining to Ross's career in the USAF and a government employee. One b/w photo is included. Some records are duplicates, others are military copies. Several certificates are included along with several DD Form 214's, Special Orders and other pertinent material. Certificates include Department of the Air Force Certificate of Service in recogintion of Thirty Years of Service dated 13 November 1982, Honorable discharge as Staff Sergent dated 20 May 1960 from the Reserves, Strategic Air Command Certificate of Merit as Chief of Supply Acttivity at Pease AFB (Form dated Dec 64), Strategic Air Command Ceritficate Supply Achievement Award to Anthony J. Ross Base Supply 1962-Pease AFB, Strategic Air Command Certificate of Merit outstanding supply civilian nominee of 509th Supply Squadron Pease AFB (Form dated Jun 67, two USAF training certificates on supply, one on effective writing course, and an Air University Extension Course Insitute dated 1959. More research on his career is required.
    2. B/W photo of the supply unig of which Ross was a member. Photo is 6" X 1/2" x 5" in size. Shows toning with age.
    Ross served as a supply technician during WWII where he was awared the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal attaining the rank of Corporal. He stayed in the military as a reservist. In 1957 he was assigned to Grenier AFB, NH after having been at the 3450th Technical Traiing Group (ATC). His primary specialty was supply as it had been during WWII. He was assigned to the 94th Troop Carrier Wing (medium) in 1958. In the same year he transferred to the 732nd Troop Carrier Squadron within the Group. He received two favorable communication letters in 1960 as part of the 817th Combat Support Group (SAC). He was back with the 732nd in 1961. He was still a part of the ready reserve in 1964. Upon retirement in 1965 he switched over to the civilian side in supply. His wife also was a civil service employee. More research on his career is required.
